Virat Kohli and Anushka Sharma celebrated Christmas with breakfast at a cafe in Melbourne on Wednesday, December 25. Just before the highly anticipated Boxing Day Test, the former India captain and his wife were seen enjoying the festive atmosphere while dining at a local restaurant.
Anushka Sharma is accompanying her husband on the tour and was in the stands when Kohli finally scored his long-awaited Test century, finishing with 100 not out in the first Test of the series in Perth. The couple visited a local cafe-cum-restaurant, where Kohli, dressed in a pink oversized T-shirt and grey jeans, appeared relaxed and even took a photo with the cafe’s chefs.

Sharing the photo on Instagram, the cafe wrote, “This morning, while we were still debating whether to keep our cafe open on a public holiday, little did we know we were about to have the surreal experience of serving King @virat.kohli @anushkasharma, and the family at our little cafe.”

Meanwhile, the Indian cricket team decided not to take training on the eve of the Boxing Day Test, while Australia held an optional training session at the MCG on Christmas, after which captain Pat Cummins spoke at a press conference.
The five-Test Border Gavaskar Trophy is currently tied at 1-1, following India’s 295-run victory in Perth and Australia’s response with a 10-wicket win in Adelaide. The third Test in Brisbane concluded in a draw.
Apart from his century in the second innings of the Perth Test, Virat Kohli has managed only 26 runs in his other four innings of the series and will aim to deliver another significant performance in the upcoming Melbourne Test.
