Shocking surveillance footage showed the moment a boat docked in a Florida marina exploded into flames on Monday evening.

The blast at a Fort Lauderdale marina killed one person and injured five others, three of whom were transported to the hospital with traumatic injuries, NBC 6 South Florida reported. The other two were also taken to the hospital.

The person who died was originally listed as missing in the water. Divers searched the area and later found their body.

Footage from a nearby EarthCam surveillance camera showed that there were several people on the boat the moment it violently exploded, tearing it completely in half and throwing pieces of the vessel flying in every direction.

People on the dock and on the boat appeared to have no indication that anything was wrong, seeing as they were acting normally up until the explosion at around 5:54pm.

Three people who were on the dock were seen immediately running away after the explosion.

A group of about nine people who were on another boat tied further up the dock tried to throw water on the burning ship.

Over the next few minutes, the still-flaming vessel could be seen drifting dangerously close to the second boat. Eventually, the two boats came into contact with another, giving the fire second life.

Fort Lauderdale officials confirmed that the fire spread to the second boat, NBC 6 reported.

Authorities still haven’t said what caused the explosion and didn’t provide any further information.

Fort Lauderdale Fire Rescue said they received multiple 911 calls reporting the explosion at Fort Lauderdale Marina.

Footage from an NBC 6 chopper showed firefighters spraying water onto the burning remains of both boats.

Firefighters were positioned on the dock and on one of their boats as they were seen trying to put out the stubborn blaze.

DailyMail.com approached the Fort Lauderdale Police Department and Fort Lauderdale Fire Rescue seeking information on what may have caused the explosion.
