Rise in religious hate crimes reported by UK police forces

There’s been a sharp rise in antisemitic and Islamophobic hate crime across the UK over the last 18 months, according to figures compiled by police forces.

The number of incidents soared after the October 7th Hamas attacks and the start of the Gaza war – and then again after the fatal stabbings in Southport this summer.
