Adilabad Collector, Officials Eat at Ration Card Holder’s House with Fine Rice

Adilabad: Collector Venkatesh Dhotre, along with additional collectors Deepak Tiwari, M. David, and DRO Lokeshwar Rao, joined a lunch event at the residence of ration card holder Thoshkhande Shankar in the Rehabilitation Colony of Janakapur on Saturday. The meal was prepared with fine quality rice distributed through PDS.
Speaking at the event, collector Dhotre emphasised that the government’s effort to distribute fine quality rice would alleviate expenses for households. “We have arranged to supply this rice at 314 fair price shops across the district, and 3,000 tons of rice are already ready for distribution,” he said.
Shankar, a beneficiary of the new initiative, expressed his satisfaction with the quality and accessibility of the rice. “Earlier, we had to purchase fine quality rice from the market, but now it is provided directly through the state’s distribution system. This rice is sufficient to meet our family’s needs,” he remarked.
